President Bola Tinubu has swore in eight federal Permanent Secretaries who were recently appointed to address current and upcoming state and regional vacancies.

President Tinubu led the swearing-in ceremony soon before the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting began at the State House in Abuja.

Leadership stated that just before the start of proceedings, Senator George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), revealed that the FEC will be separated into two parts: the swearing-in of the new Permanent Secretaries and the Council meeting.

Dr. Emanso Umobong Okop (Akwa-Ibom), Obi Emeka Vitalis (Anambra), Mahmood Fatima (Bauchi), and Danjuma Mohammed Sanusi (Jigawa) were all sworn in.
