Pop artist Bebe Rexha recently called out the music industry and pushed for systemic reform in a Twitter/X discussion. She went on to say that if the industry didn’t examine itself critically, she would “tell all my truths, the good, the bad, and the ugly.”

I have the power to destroy a sizable portion of this sector. I’m irritated. It has undercut me. I haven’t said anything in such a long time,” she started. As Rexha went on, fans’ concerns were clearly seen in the comments. “Despite the fact that people bring up the signs all the time and they are SO OBVIOUS, I haven’t seen them. And whenever I have raised my voice, this industry has silenced me and punished me. Either something has to change, or I will be speaking the whole truth. The nice, the ugly, and the bad.

Then, Rexha posted to the forum, expressing her gratitude to the fans for their support. “This is not a reaction of rage,” she wrote. It’s depressing. I’m at my London hotel room right now. I’m crying uncontrollably. I’ve been devoid of hope for a very long time. I’ve been seeing fans a lot here in the city, and they’ve really sparked something within of me.

When someone on Twitter/X pointed out that the outburst coincided with the release of Bebe Rexha’s most recent single, “I’m the Drama,” Rexha responded by saying that she “has no budget” for marketing and that she is “FED UP.”
