Nigerian comedian and skit creator Chukwuebuka Amuzie, better known by his stage name Brain Jotter, has responded to rumors that his 1983 hit song “Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo” by Mike Ejeagha might be exploited. The song is a classic that gained new life recently thanks to a viral dance challenge that Amuzie started.

Brain Jotter shared his raw and emotional video of his emotional visit to the home of legendary highlife performer Mike “Gentleman” Ejeagha. In the heartfelt video, the well-known singer is seen crying with happiness and overcoming all of the emotion as Brain Jotter and his group pay homage to his timeless song.

In response to rumors and comments over the dancing challenge, Brain Jotter offered a thorough description of the visit. He conveyed his sincere appreciation to those who voiced concerns regarding the possible commercialization of Ejeagha’s song.

The Skitmaker adamantly expressed his appreciation and understanding of their valid worries, highlighting their justifiable need for Ejeagha to be acknowledged and paid for his many years of outstanding musical career.

He was extremely open in saying that the song didn’t bring him any money in the big picture.

For those who think we ripped him off or we’re making money from this whole thing, I understand your concerns and they are very valid. I appreciate the fact that you want him to get value for his hard work, which is very valid, and I want you to understand that you are doing something good

Brain Jotter emphasized that the viral challenge had a beneficial result, saying:

“The song increased its streams on streaming platforms massively, and there’s no way I can put the song on streaming platforms. So everything, all revenues, are going straight to Mike Ejeagha.”

Additionally, he disclosed that he gave Ejeagha two million naira.saying:

“The two million I gave him was from my pocket. My hard-earned money is just for humanity and not for profit. This whole thing is not for profit.”

The comedian thanked God profusely for all of the joy and pleasure the challenge has provided.
