Rebecca Joynes: Teenager who fathered child with jailed teacher says he loved her despite being ‘coerced and manipulated’

The adolescent, named only as boy B, claims he will “forever be Rebecca’s victim and forever linked to her through our child” after she was sentenced to more than six years in prison.
A young guy who fathered a kid with imprisoned teacher Rebecca Joynes has revealed that he loved her but now realizes the “full extent of the abuse carried out on me”.

After Joynes was sentenced to six and a half years in prison on Thursday, the adolescent known only as boy B issued a victim impact statement.

Boy B claims he was “coerced and controlled” by Joynes before having sex with her, and he believes a teenage girl who was molested by a male instructor would have received more support following the incident.

Joynes became pregnant after having sex with boy B while on bail for having sex with another teenager named boy A. The 30-year-old was found guilty of six counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child, including two while being a person in a position of trust, in relation to the two boys in May. The teenagers, who were both pupils at the school where Joynes used to work, were both groomed by her since the age of 15.

In a victim impact statement read out after Joynes’ sentence on Thursday, boy B stated that he struggled to accept his abuse and was “completely in denial.” He also stated that he defended Joynes and felt he had betrayed someone he loved by providing evidence. He also expressed guilt and questioned his actions.

“Since then I have replayed a lot of things in my head, and spoken to a lot of people, and it has made me realise the full extent of the abuse carried out on me and the tactics that were used to do so,” said the actor.

“I was pressured and controlled, manipulated, sexually and psychologically assaulted… The months following the abuse were quite dark for me; I felt trapped.”

These crimes go unnoticed.

Boy B, who claims to have graduated with straight A’s, went on to state, “My parents broke down every day and night trying to get me to talk. I figured I’d be better off dealing with things on my own because it’s a unique situation that others may not understand.”

He went on to say, “The gender discrimination I’ve experienced is insane. I believe that due of my gender, this is considered a lesser offense than vice versa.

“The grooming began when I was 15 years old, and I have struggled to find any services that provide sexual abuse counselling and support to males my age.”

“There are plenty for young females and children, however. I believe that many atrocities go unnoticed because males bottle things up; I hope that these services become more prevalent in the future.

Boy B also said Joynes had a “lack of remorse” and that neither she nor her family felt she did anything wrong.

He goes on to say that he is now hesitant to start a relationship because of the “negative experience I had with Rebecca.”

Boy B went on to say, “This is not what I wanted for my child; my idea of having children was with someone I loved in a stable atmosphere, similar to how I was raised. Unfortunately, that is not the case.

“Ultimately, I will be Rebecca’s victim and forever bonded to her via our child.

Joynes gave birth to their son in early 2024, but he was stolen from her within 24 hours.

Boy B told the cops. Joynes had told him she couldn’t have a kid, and they had unprotected intercourse, but she subsequently found out she was pregnant.

Joynes invited him to her flat for a “date night” with an Ann Summers scratchcard of sexual activities, rose petals, and “surprises” the day before her second arrest, according to the court.

At the end, there was a baby grow with the words “Best Dad” on the front.

“I was like, ‘What the f***!'” youngster B told officers.
