Their wedding attire made quite the fashion statement 25 years ago.
However, after the Beckhams wore them again, David has started to receive teasing from his spouse for resembling the contemporary dancing guy emoji.
A few weeks ago, the couple removed the high-end ensembles from storage and tried them on in honor of their 25th wedding anniversary on Wednesday.
According to The Mail, the pair ordered their staff to retrieve it from storage as a “gift to their loyal fans” after coming up with the concept one evening while enjoying some cocktails.
Victoria is giggling uncontrollably and continues stating that it’s a good thing the emoji didn’t exist in 1999, according to one pal.
“She is laughing so hard at this whole thing,”
David, 49, is reportedly ‘aghast’ at his purple suede shoes in the meantime. The football player was reported to have been “mortified” upon seeing them, as they were the final piece of the costume that the Beckhams discovered.
“David exclaimed, ‘Oh my God,'” the friend recalled.
Victoria’s shoes are stunning, but he has made some serious fashion faux pas.
“When he saw them after all these years, he was mortified.”
The pair posted footage of themselves getting ready, sat on thrones, and strolled through the estate’s gardens while posing in their £12 million Cotswolds mansion.
On Thursday morning, Victoria, 50, posted a video of David breathing in to fit into his pants. Excitedly, he exclaimed, “I’m in, I’m in!”
Subsequently, when he continues to put on the remaining portions of the suit, the sound of material ripping can be heard in the video.
